ReplyDeleteI watched your one-hour video on CAT.What an amazing stuff!I was shuffed by a positive response from the community of Tubatse.The consultation process was excellent.I think that is a good model for bottom-up development.I am certain that the project will be sustainable as the community would look after it.Good work Jabulani and thanks for your passion for South Africa, in particular Limpopo Province which is my sweet home.The good work you choose to do for the humanity is very much commendable.With the prevailing cold weather of Vienna at minus 5 degrees today,Wednesday 16 December 2009, watching the video took me closer to South Africa.The braai session was fabulous.Overall, I hope you enjoyed your stay in South Africa.

ReplyDeletethank you for this very positive reception of our work, well yes, we had a very good response, now we have to get it on the ground, and that is the realy hard part. Until now we did a lot of talking. Hope that we can experiment this process, as you said, buttom-up, also in other occasions, as I am very intersted in housing as well, especially with the Viennese tradition of social housing in my own background. We are working on some interesting solutions that I would be happy to discuss further,
hope the Vienna weather will not be getting much colder, as it is round minus 8 this morning!!
